Weather could not stop Kimberlee and Steve from having their dream wedding ceremony. Kimberlee is a passionate horse lover and it was important that her beloved Hustler be part of her wedding. As rain pounded the Valley Saturday morning Kimberlee and Steve kept their fingers crossed for a break in the weather long enough to have their ceremony outside as planned. Driving to the ceremony site the rain seemed like it was here to stay and I wasn’t feeling too hopeful that the bride would have her grand entrance. As Kimberlee sat in the limo outside the nature center and all the guests were seated inside the weather decided to smile on the beautiful bride and give her an ephemeral moment of relief. Steve and the guests were quickly ushered outside as Kimberlee hopped on Hustler and got her wish.
I cannot tell you how beautiful it was and I can only hope my photographs do justice to the scene. It was utterly amazing to witness a stunning bride on horseback making her way through the desert to the man she loves. The mist hung heavy on the mountains and the desert was green and glowing.
Although the break in the weather did not last long it was enough to make Kimberlee and Steve happy. As raindrops started to fall again the ceremony was completed back in the nature center.
Where there is rain there are rainbows. As we got to the reception at Turf Paradise a rainbow filled the sky as the races got underway.
