Addy and Joel’s vintage style wedding

I was in love with Addy’s choice of dress and flowers from the minute I saw them. Addy found a delicate vintage wedding dress from the 1950s and with a feather and tulle birdcage the look was perfectly fitting. The bow toes on all the groomsmen, as well as Joel’s tie were all custom made by a friend and created from Joel’s Hawaiian shirt collection. The yellow roses in Addy’s bouquet, a bouquet made by her mother- in- law, looked absolutely scrumptious and of course sunflowers are my favorite flower. The reception followed at Joel’s mother’s home. The backyard was decorated with bistro lighting, mason jars filled with flowers, burlap accents and a eclectic array of furniture.

Carey and Kyle’s Tempe engagement session

Carey and Kyle, and Milo too for that matter, could not have been more easy going or relaxed for their photo shoot. A little wind in hair on a gorgeous February day in Arizona made for a lovely engagement session. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall!

Ingrid and Barry’s Arizona Historical Society Museum wedding- Tempe, Arizona

The first time I met Ingrid and Barry in person was at their wedding but after months of phone calls, emails and of course Facebook, I felt like I already knew them. Ingrid and Barry were married in a wedding ceremony that highlighted the musical talents of their friends which made the ceremony so sweet and personal. Many couples practice their first dance before their wedding day but this was the first time I have seen a groom change into his dancing shoes. Definitely one of the best dancing couples I have come across! Congratulations Ingrid and Barry!

Adriana and Joel’s Tempe engagement session

It wouldn’t be a proper family photo without Roo and Stella so I met Addy and Joel at their house for some cute pictures with the dogs. I love how the first photo feels like a fall day- even for Arizona. We continued the engagement session down the road in Mesa for more fun photos and some colorful shots. Happy holidays and I look forward to your wedding in the spring!

Jill and Aaron’s Tempe wedding

Jill and Aaron are simply a perfect match. They have know each other forever and even went to prom together in high school. Their wedding was full of personal touches and handmade details although the pièce de résistance had to be Aaron’s 1966 Chrysler New Yorker which he not only restored himself but it is also the car Aaron drove on their first date. Jill and Aaron had a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Newman Center, built in 1903, it’s a National Historical Landmark and the oldest Catholic church in the Valley. The reception followed at the Fiesta Resort with lots of dancing and some really great 90s music.
