Any excuse to get out of Phoenix in the summertime is good with me so I was psyched when Jennifer and Evan wanted to do their engagement photos up north. Driving up to Sedona the monsoon rain was so hard I could barely see the road near Black Canyon City. The rain slowed and stopped as I drove farther on but the thick cloud cover never really went away. I love a good cloudy day as long as it doesn’t rain out the photo shoot. As I arrived in Sedona I got a call from Jennifer, there was a slight hick-up in plans as Jennifer and Evan were stuck on the side of the road leading into Sedona with car problems. I quickly changed plans because the time delay would effect our original photo location. I picked up some Red Rock parking passes and went to meet them. As I pulled up AAA arrived to save the day and it wasn’t long before we were back on our way. Although it wasn’t our original plan to shoot in the red rocks I am so glad we did. The muted colors were simply lovely and Jennifer and Evan were a joy to work with. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall.
