An Alice in Wonderland bridal shower

Britney celebrated her bridal shower with an adorable Alice in Wonderland tea party theme. Britney’s family did a fantastic job with all the little details including red and white roses, tomato and cheese “mushrooms” and of course Britney’s brother dressed at the Mad Hatter! It was a lovely afternoon and I was honored to be there to capture all the fun. I can’t wait for her and Shane’s wedding coming up in January!

Iris D Bridal Grand Opening

Iris D Bridal

Today I stopped by to check out IrisD Bridal, a beautiful new wedding boutique in Tempe. The women who run the shop, including Iris Drevet and Steffany Stanfield could not be sweeter or more helpful! The shop has some very dramatic wedding dresses by French designer Mirella as well as about a million different styles of veils. I love how just about anything in the store can be customized. They also carry a variety of jewelry and accessories.

The lovely flower arrangements were provided by Jen at Ever After Florals.

Behind the scenes at the Bridal Fashion Debut

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth this past weekend during the Bridal Fashion Debut at the Phoenix Convention Center. It was a long but rewarding couple of days. I met so many wonderful couples and talked many other great wedding vendors.
Putting together a booth for a bridal show takes months of preparation. Everything from the photos on display to the information on my brochures is carefully considered. This bridal show I was excited to premiere my new album choices.
For brides the show is the perfect opportunity to connect with the people who are going to help you make your wedding day unique and forever memorable.
For anyone interested I am happy to set up a free personal consultation. Please contact me for more details. I will be announcing the winner of my free engagement session drawing at the end of the week!
Thank you to my husband and second shooter, David Wallace, for his help at the show.

How long have you been in business/ how many weddings have you planned?
I began my adventure in the event planning industry in June of 2000. I formally began planning weddings in 2004, and since that time have planned 50+ weddings

What makes your services unique in the Valley?
To answer this question I offer a recent client referral:

“Alisha has the most incredible personality. Most people in this industry are snobby and have their own agenda. Alisha’s agenda is YOUR agenda. She not only took most the stress off of me on my wedding day but her pre-planning tools put her a grade above of the rest. Alisha not only goes above and beyond to make each brides day a dream come true, she has the stamina to mentally overcome whatever crosses her path. From overbearing in-laws to a bride worthy of the title “Bridezilla”, this is the role she is born to play. I wouldn’t have been able to handle a feat such as my own wedding day with out her.”

Why do you love about your job?
The challenge to make it newer, nicer, faster, and for less money. I never encounter the same set of circumstances which truly caters to my inner artist.

How would you describe your style?
Methodical, nonpareil, constructive

What is your favorite part of planning a wedding?
Taking stress off of the bride, groom, and their families.

What advise can you give to a bride and groom about planning their wedding?
A wedding consultant (planner | coordinator) can save you thousands of dollars in extraneous time and materials. Consider using an industry pro.

Anything else you want to say…
I love Laura Segall.:)
