Sabrina and Rob’s Arizona Grand Resort wedding- Phoenix, Arizona

I had a wonderful time photographing Sabrina and Rob’s colorful Assyrian wedding. As I pulled up to Sabrina’s house I could hear the music and singing coming from inside and I knew this was going to be a good day! Sabrina’s home was filled with family and friends celebrating her wedding day. It was a royal send off to the church as Sabrina walked arm in arm with a family member outside to the limo followed by a parade of cousins, aunts, uncles, parents and friends. The ceremony was a beautiful affair rich with tradition and conducted in the Aramaic classical Assyrian language. The reception was held at the Arizona Grand Resort and the ballroom was awash in gorgeous pink light with white tables and chairs and ¬†purple and green flowers. It was a wild party with everyone on the dance floor!

Rob’s father pays cash to Sabrina’s brothers before she is allowed to leave the house. The amount is decided by Sabrina’s family- they were asking for a couple million!

Gino and Sheryl’s Sassi wedding- Scottsdale, Arizona

Gino and Sheryl had a picture perfect wedding at Sassi on 10/10/10, a wedding date that will be impossible to forget! Sheryl was radiant in a dress that looked like is was made just for her. The sun setting over the Scottsdale Sonoran desert was an amazing backdrop to their wedding ceremony. The party started off in traditional Assyrian style with all the guests hand in hand dancing around the ballroom with the lead person holding a colorful beaded handkerchief. The music kept the crowd on their feet and dancing throughout the night.
