The Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area is a five mile stretch along the Salt River south of downtown Phoenix. The park is home to cottonwood trees (which were sending their white puffball seeds into the air while we were there) wetlands, over 200 species of birds and tons of jackrabbits. We picked the park because Brooke and Tim love the outdoors and nature so I though Rio Salado would be a perfect fit for their personality. I also knew we would be lucky enough to see some wildflowers in bloom this time of year. I have to thank Brooke and Tim for being so laid back and easy to photograph. From climbing in a sap spewing tree to sitting in the middle of a sea of wildflowers Brooke and Tim were game for anything! I can’t wait for their wedding next month which I know is going to be a blast!
