The idea of trashing your wedding dress is a somewhat new phenomenon. The intention of a Trash the Dress photo shoot is for the bride (and sometimes the groom) to get all dressed up after the wedding for a down and dirty fashion shoot. The shoot could be a month after the wedding or a year after the wedding. The beauty of the photo shoot is that we don’t have to worry about getting a little muddy or wet because the wedding is long over, the cake has been cut and the bouquet tossed.
Some brides are appalled by the thought of trashing their wedding gown. Others would rather donate their dress to charity (a great idea!). But for those brides, now happily married ladies, who want one last bridal hurray a Trash the Dress shoot is a quirky and fun way to add to their wedding album. I had my first Trash the Dress photo shoot this past weekend and it was too much fun! Leah and I headed out to the Tonto National Forest along the Salt River about an hour before sunset. The weather was amazing and Leah looked beautiful.
